Our dear friend Yan Zhao, is running for Saratoga city council in the November election.  She has the very best qualifications to represent us – she is truly outstanding!

·         A dedicated community volunteer for over 20 years, including 8 years on the Saratoga Planning Commission, 6 years on the Commission on the Status of Women of Santa Clara County, 3 years as Student Art Show Chair for Saratoga Rotary Art Shows, Saratoga Elementary School PTA Board Member and Treasurer, AYSO Volunteer Referee, and devoted volunteer of the Saratoga Historical Foundation.

·         A graduate of UC Berkeley (BS) and Santa Clara University (MS), 20 years of semiconductor engineering and business experience, with an exceptional ability to get things done in the corporate world.

·         A highly energetic and capable individual who balances her engineering job, volunteer work, and family responsibilities with skill and grace.

·         Recipient of the California Legislature’s Assembly District 28 "Woman of the Year 2014" Award.

She has been a positive contributor to every service, activity, or job she undertakes.  Most importantly, she has the love and passion for our community that we cherish and need!
