On July 10th, 2014, Fox News Channel's “The Five" co-host Bob Beckel used a rude arm gesture and derogatory language to describe Chinese American as Chinaman and stated that Chinese are the single biggest threat to the national security of the U.S.

My family emigrated to the U.S. from China. My nephew has served in the U.S. Marine for over 6 years and was deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq and dedicated his life to serve our country.

As a Chinese American, an engineer who has worked for American semiconductor industry for over 20 years, and a candidate for Saratoga City council, I strongly object to the fear mongering, racially divisive statement on national TV. We support many Chinese organizations in the U.S. to denounce Bob Beckel and his derogatory statements and demand for his immediate termination at Fox TV and an official apology from Fox TV.
